For the second-year running High Street estate agent, George David, has lent its support to the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity’s (FNHC) Aylesbury Superhero event – a 5k fun run, jog, walk or crawl for all the family, taking place on Sunday 14th October, 10.00am, Watermead. More

The Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNHC) is calling on local families and businesses in Wendover to show their support, with the launch of its first Wendover Window Superhero Treasure Hunt challenge – one of many FNHC events taking place in the run-up to Hospice Care Week – a national awareness week to promote the uniqueness of Hospice care – taking place from 8th-14th October. It’s BACK – Aylesbury’s Superhero event in aid of the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity is coming to Watermead for the second-year running – hoping to see Mums, Dads and kids donning their favourite superhero costumes to take on the 5k fun run, jog or walking challenge around the picturesque lake and roads of Watermead.

The music
and fun kicks off from 9.00am, with a pre-event warm-up before the launch,
which will see our fantastic Superheroes setting off at 10.00am.

THIS EVENT IS PART OF HOSPICE CARE WEEK 2012 RUNNING FROM 8th-14th October – HELPING TO PROMOTE HOSPICE CARE THROUGHOUT THE UK

A very BIG thank you to all our wonderful superheroes who took part in Aylesbury’s First Superhero event this morning. 110 people signed up, including Mums, Dads, Kids and 12-week-old Ruby and Lily! What a fantastic morning, with some fantastic costumes – everything from Superman, Spiderman, Ben 10, Wonder Woman, bar tender, deep sea diver, Captain America (who zoomed round the course to finish first!) and many, many more. And the rain held off!! Thank you and well done to everyone – our superheroes, super marshals, super local businesses, super volunteers – your help and support will go a long way in helping to raise money for the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, which needs half a million pounds each year to keep essential local services running for families affected by life-limiting illness. See you again next year!!
