Aylesbury Youngster teams up with Mum

Kai-Davies-gearing-up-for-sSeven-year-old Kai Davies, a pupil of William Harding School, will be donning a Spiderman costume and teaming up with his Mum, to take on the Florrie’s Superhero 5k fun run challenge on Sunday 3rd May, setting off at 10am from Market Square.

Mum, Samantha Davies, explained why they are getting involved: “Kai is so excited about running it. His Great Nana passed away from pancreatic cancer three years ago. Kai has fond memories of her, as every time we visited, she would come out with some grapes for him. He started calling her ‘Nana with the grapes’, so we’ve registered to take on the fun run in memory of her, but to also help support local children who are cared by the Florrie’s Children’s hospice at home Team.

We’ve managed to run a full 3K so far and he still insists on doing a sprint finish. The rate he’s going, I think he’ll end up running the whole 5K!” she added.
